Ingredients:

  • 500 g sugar
  • 260 ml milk
  • 4 eggs
  • 200 ml veg. oil
  • 460 g flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 lemon zest
  • vanilla extract

Optional: 2 tsp cacao

Method:

  1. Beat the eggs with sugar until it doubles in volume.
  2. Add all the liquid ingredients and mix
  3. Sift the flour and baking powder then add to mixture then combine
  4. Add lemon zest and mix
  5. If you want to use cocoa, then add on 1/4 of mixture.
  6. Add the mixture in the tray, greased with butter and flour.
  7. Add on top cacao mixture
  8. Bake at 180’C – 45′
